Thomas Isaiah Walters and his wife Lenora Barnes. Thomas Isaiah was the son of Thomas F. Walters and Sarepta Ann Brumble.
Thomas Isaiah Walters Born Mar 9, 1861 Died Jul 28, 1906 Lenora Barnes Born Nov 2, 1867 Died Oct 3, 1911 This was in "The Robesonian" newspaper. August 1, 1907 edition: We are sorry to hear of the death of Mr T I Walters of the Bloomingdale section. His death was caused by his getting hot last Tuesday. August 5, 1907 edition: Mr Thomas Walters died a few days ago from over heat and complications. He leaves a wife and 4 children and many friends to regret his death. Thomas Isaiah Walters is buried on the Creek Rd in Barnesville, NC his tombstone death date reads July 28, 1906. This conficts with both newspaper ariticles. I would have to say that the newspaper would be more reliable and that he died in July 28 1907 and that his tombstone was erected at a later date with the wrong death date. |
